Pearl Milk Tea

Cedric, whats the most famous beverage you can think of?
In France, champagne of course. In the rest of the world, cola.
In Taiwan, possibly the most famous drinks is pearl milk tea. Did you know that Taiwanese people consume more than 100 million glasses of it a year.
Who wouldve thought a tea that you chew would become so popular? And its picking up in the US and in Europe, too. There are a few shops in Paris, though the price there is a joke.
Did you know that the pearl milk tea actually came from the bubble iced tea, which is basically cold tea shaken up with ice in a cocktail shaker.
Like this?
Looking good. The bubbles make the tea taste smoother.
So with pearl milk tea, you add milk or creamer into the tea, and then you stir it, you shake it up and you pour the tea into the pearls, right?
Yeah. The pearls are tapioca balls, which are made of a starchy root and sugar. After you boil them, they turn into something really sweet and chewy and tasty.
The pearls come in different sizes, right?
Speaking of different sizes, different colors as well.
Like people.
So this is white pearl milk tea.
Not just white, black and white. This is panda milk tea. It's always nice to have the chewy texture. It's like eating and drinking at the same time. How about you?
I think that all tapioca are create equal.
So deep.
And you should come.
